Club Coach
Emily Deering Raised in Campbell River, Emily Deering has been skating with the Campbell River Skating Club for over 10 years. After competing for a couple of years, Emily fell even more in love with skating when she became a Program Assistant over 8 years ago.
She disappeared briefly to skate in Victoria at the University of Victoria and was the co-president of the figure skating club. When Emily returned home, she continued to skate with the club and completed her first Canskate Coaching Course in September 2023 and reached her Trained status in March 2024. Emily is currently a Bachelor of Business Administration Student at North Island College in Courtenay, BC. Focusing in General Management, Emily is keen to blend her school leadership theories and management courses with practical experience. Outside of school, Emily loves to rock climb, play racquetball, hike, ski, and when not reading textbooks, she’s baking something tasty. Emily invites any skaters to share their best dad joke or riddle, and she may share one in return! |
