Sign up now for CRSC’s Fall 2024 Program Assistant Training Clinic! The PA Training Clinic will be held on Friday, September 6 at Strathcona Gardens. New this term, the Club will be providing a Figure Skating Academy PA training program extension. PA candidates for both CanSkate and Figure Skating Academy will be notified of their eligibility via email. Important: participants must have valid 2024-2025 Skate Canada Membership in order to participate. Registration is to be completed via Uplifter. What is a PA? PA's are individuals who have been trained by a Certified Professional Coach to assist in the delivery of a program. They may vary in age and background (figure skating, hockey, ringette, sledge). They must have adequate skating skills and knowledge to be of assistance. Roles assigned to each PA must be appropriate for their age and ability. What will PA's do?
SCHEDULE 3:30-4:00pm Classroom Theory Training - Pinecrest Room 4:15-5:15pm On-Ice Practical Training - Rink 1 5:30-6:00pm Classroom Theory Training - Pinecrest Room 6:00-6:30pm Figure Skating Academy PA Training Extension - Pinecrest Room WHAT TO BRING Please bring your skates, a water bottle, and dress appropriately (layers are recommended). Due to the length and time of the session, skaters are welcome to bring a snack/small meal to eat during the classroom portion. IMPORTANT NOTES Be sure to read the PA Policy carefully to find important information about rewards, incentives and all other pertinent details.
