Megan Weber Born and raised in Campbell River, Megan Weber started skating with the Campbell River Skating Club at the age of 7.
While skating with CRSC, Megan quickly developed into an accomplished athlete and competitor – she achieved her “Gold Feet” at 12 years old (Gold Level assessment in Skills), reached Senior Silver Freeskate in her training, and competed in Gold interpretive. She’s competed in many different disciplines, including short and long Freeskate, and Skills elements, taking home a gold medal in the skills category at the 2009 Provincials. In 2021, Megan moved to Poland for University, where she got her first opportunity to coach, giving lessons part time with the Tri-City Skating Club in Gdansk. She takes great pride in the skills she gained while teaching in a foreign country, and enjoyed finding creative ways to connect with students in spite of the language barrier. By the time she returned home, the Campbell River Skating Club had grown significantly, so Megan volunteered as a Program Assistant to help support the CanSkate program and began training as a professional coach in 2023. Now, in addition to her full time career as an Executive Assistant, Megan has become a Trained CanSkate coach with CRSC and is working toward her Regional certification. Certifications & Affiliations
