Director of Programs
Rory Allen Rory Allen is a National Certified skating coach, who has been coaching since 2003. His areas of specialization include club development, athlete management, jump technique, harness training, video review, choreography and enhancing confidence when it comes to performing.
An alumni national team member with Skate Canada, Rory is a national and international medalist. One of his fondest memories was competing against Elvis Stojko in the Senior Men’s category, during Stojko’s retirement year at Nationals. Rory was first introduced to skating at a friend’s birthday around the age of 5, and later developed into a high-level performer and competitor. After years of competing, Rory embarked on his coaching career in Prince George, BC in 2003. In 2009 and 2010, he toured as a professional, international ice show performer on Royal Caribbean cruise ships. In July 2021, Rory moved to Campbell River to serve as Director of Programs with the Campbell River Skating Club, and has been eager to share his passion for skating with the community. Over the years, Rory has enjoyed coaching skaters at all levels, from single toe loops to triple jumps, and attending events from local interclub to international competitions. Rory is personally motivated to inspire boys to embrace the joy of figure skating. |

Professional Skate Technician Services
In 2014, Rory opened North Edge Ice Sports, a specialty skate shop to service the needs of local skaters, who have limited access to quality equipment and skate sharpening. |
