Club Coach
Trina Chalmers Born and raised in Campbell River, Trina Chalmers is a Certified CanSkate and Regional coach with over 20 years of history with the Campbell River Skating Club. She is also PowerSkate trained. She was first inspired to start skating at a friend's birthday party in 1996, which quickly led to lessons and higher level training with the club.
Among her many personal accomplishments on ice, Trina has achieved her “Gold Feet” (Gold level assessment in Dance, Skills and Artistic/Interpretive) and accumulated over ten years of competition experience, including as a 5-time Provincial STARSkate Competitor. In 2000, she began assisting with CRSC's learn-to-skate program, which inspired a dream to become a professional coach. Trina achieved her long-held goal and officially joined the CRSC coaching team in 2022. Trina loves seeing the "light bulb" moment when a skater figures out a skill, and is excited to be able to share her experiences with the next generation of local skaters.
